Always set for the last Wednesday in May, National Senior Health & Fitness Day highlights the activities of older adults participating in health and fitness activities through throughout the nation.

Marian McQuade, a West Virginia housewife, established National Grandparent’s Day. This celebration takes place annually during the first Sunday after Labor Day. The day is set aside to encourage families and community members to visit their elders.
Older Americans Month is held each May to honor older adults and their contributions, particularly those who defended our country.
